    17 dead in eastern Afghanistan floods

    Kabul, August 15 Afghan officials said on the 15th that at least 17 people were killed due to floods caused by heavy rain in Parwan Province in eastern Afghanistan on the evening of the 14th.

    Mullah Khan Mohammad, head of the Shinwari district government in Parwan province, said on the same day that floods occurred in the province’s Shinwari, Sia Gould and other areas, killing at least 17 people , many people are missing, and dozens of houses were washed away.

    Over the past few months, floods occurred in Nangarhar, Panjshir, Tahar, Lugar and other provinces in Afghanistan, killing more than 200 people.
