According to the publication, three patients were recognized as contacts for the disease in the Tambov region, where an Indian citizen who arrived from Delhi was previously hospitalized with suspicion of cholera. It was reported that the patient showed signs of an acute intestinal infection of unknown etiology. He was hospitalized in a specialized medical facility, the patient is receiving full treatment. At the end of June, virologist Anatoly Altshtein said that cholera is not a dangerous disease for most countries, and it can be controlled. “In large civilized countries, cholera is not a big problem,” he said.
