Banjagor police chief Siraj Huda told Xinhua that the boat capsized at around 1:30 p.m. local time on its way to a temple. “So far, the remains of 24 victims, including 12 adult women, 8 children, and 4 adult men, have been found.” He said that the whereabouts of more than 10 passengers on the ship are still unknown, and rescue operations are underway middle. Overloading of ships is a major cause of accidents.
