At the beginning of summer, Irkutsk will host the II Baikal Week of Arts and Crafts. This is reported by the publication “Baikal Daily” with reference to the city administration.
The event will take place from 2 to 9 June. So, in the first days of the festival, from June 2 to 4, those who wish will be able to visit the exhibition of artisans, artists and designers “Heritage and Traditions”, which will open in pavilion No. 1 of the Siexpocentre. In addition, on June 3, the festival will host an international conference “Cultural Heritage – a Source of Inspiration for Creativity” and a show of Russian designers’ collections. Also, those who wish can visit the excursion in the museum of minerals “Baikalquartzsamotsvety”. From June 5 to June 9, events will continue at the Baikal Trek recreation center. Panel discussions and round tables will be held there, guests will also be able to participate in master classes or go on an excursion. Earlier it was reported that in the capital of Buryatia, Ulan-Ude, a festival of city excursions was held in early May. In total they were visited by about 500 people.
