    Beijing Xiangshan Forum webinar focuses on global security initiative

    BEIJING, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) — The Beijing Xiangshan Forum 2022 webinar kicked off on Thursday evening with the theme of promoting the Global Security Initiative and safeguarding peace and development.

    More of 40 experts from 14 countries and one international organization were invited to discuss global security challenges, solutions and cooperation.Thursday’s discussions focused on the stability and peaceful development of the Asia-Pacific, as well as the impact of regional conflicts on global security.On Friday, participants will share their views on changing patterns of warfare, the self-interests of major countries, and their responsibilities in global security, changes in geopolitical patterns and interests of developing countries, and the sharing of dividends from scientific and technological development.
