The politician recalled the promises of the USSR and Russia not to bring NATO closer to the borders of the Russian Federation. Earlier, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva accused the United States of fueling the conflict in Ukraine and urged Washington to move on to finding a peaceful settlement. He clarified that if the EU also starts talking about a peaceful solution, the presidents of Russia and Ukraine, Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky, will understand that “everyone wants peace.”
