    Published on

The Bulgarian company Bulgargaz will sign an agreement with the Turkish state company Botash, according to which it will gain access to liquefied gas terminals and the Turkish gas transmission network. About this writes Regnum with reference to the press service of the technical government of Bulgaria.

The agreement should be signed on Tuesday, January 3, in the building of the government of Bulgaria . The contract will be concluded for 13 years.

The signing ceremony will be attended by Sofia’s Minister of Energy Rosen Hristov, and from Ankara’s side by Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Donmez.

On November 23, 2022, it was reported that the Bulgarian authorities agreed with Lukoil Neftohim Burgas that the company could continue to operate and export petroleum products to the European Union until the end of 2024. Previously, the agreement was in effect with the authorities of the Netherlands and Switzerland.

The Republic stopped receiving Russian gas from April 27 due to the fact that it did not transfer the contract with Moscow to the ruble form of payment.
