In June 2023, the demand for secondary housing in Moscow hit a record for the entire time of observation. This is stated in the report of Rosreestr, which is at the disposal of Lenta.ru.
In just a month, 15.74 thousand transactions were registered on the secondary market – the maximum figure for the first month of summer in 15 years of statistics. The result was 10.3 percent higher than May and 89.4 percent higher than June 2022. Experts note that the figure for the second quarter of this year as a whole is 35.7 percent more than in the same period of 2022. In total, in January-June 2023, 78.12 thousand transactions were registered on the secondary market of Moscow, which is 15.1 percent more than in the same period last year. Earlier it was reported that in the first half of 2023, Muscovites massively rushed to buy ready-made apartments. The demand for secondary housing in the capital has doubled compared to 2022. Among the reasons for such dynamics, experts named pent-up demand, the desire of Russians to maintain savings and the flow of customers from the market for new buildings.
