    Estonia did not let 11 Russians in on the first day of the Schengen entry ban

    Estonia did not let 10 Russians into the country on the first day of the ban on entry on Schengen visas. This was reported to Postimees by Jaanika Karp, head of the Narva border checkpoint shift.

    “Estonian border guards refused to allow ten Russian citizens to enter the country. Among the reasons are both the imposed ban and other circumstances. The reaction of Russians to the entry ban was calm. The citizens of Russia understand that we are doing our job,” said Karp.

    Karp noted that before the introduction of restrictions, about 300 Russian citizens with visas issued in other countries of the Schengen zone passed through three border checkpoints in Estonia per day.

    Earlier it became known that for the first time during the entry ban on Russian citizens with valid Schengen visas, the Lithuanian border guard did not let 11 people in.

    From 00:00 On September 19, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Poland banned the entry of Russians, including those with Schengen visas issued by third countries. At the same time, there is an exception for a number of categories of Russian citizens.
