    Five friends will be tried in Kazan for robberies of foreigners

    The case of four Kazan citizens and one native of the near abroad, who are accused of robbery, has been sent to court, senior assistant to the prosecutor of the Republic of Tatarstan Ruslan Galiev said.

    The investigation believes that in May 2022, friends organized a criminal group, armed with gas cartridges, tracked down and robbed foreigners at exchange offices.

    Three foreigners suffered as a result, the damage exceeded one million rubles.

    Of the defendants, only four pleaded guilty. A currency was confiscated from one of them, which was handed over to the victims to compensate for the damage. In addition, the investigation seized the mobile phones of the three accused.

    The case has been sent to the court for consideration.
