Henry Kissinger, in a conversation with pranksters, blamed Ukraine for blowing up Nord Stream

    A Call to Kissinger

Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger believed that the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines had been blown up by the Ukrainian side. He stated this in a conversation organized by Russian pranksters Vladimir Kuznetsov (Vovan) and Alexei Stolyarov (Lexus) on behalf of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. The recording of the conversation was published on the Show ViL Telegram channel.

Kissinger was asked if he believes that Moscow was behind the sabotage on the Nord Stream gas pipelines. “To be honest, I thought it was you (Ukrainians). I wouldn’t blame you for that. I wouldn’t call it criticism,” replied the former politician, who turned 100 on May 27, 2023.

Also in the conversation, the ex-secretary of state expressed the opinion that Kyiv’s attempt to return Crimea during the counteroffensive would lead to an escalation of the conflict. According to Kissinger, the United States does not believe in the very possibility of returning the territory under the control of Ukraine in the near future.

within the current offensive. This is an issue whose solution has reached a dead end, ”said the former US Secretary of State in a conversation with the pranksters.

Kissinger also admitted that in 1990, at that time, US Secretary of State James Baker promised CPSU Mikhail Gorbachev not to expand NATO to the east. It was a personal promise not written down.

“I know it’s true, but it was never written down. So we are right to say that there was no formal commitment. But that was part of Secretary Baker’s commitment,” Kissinger said.

    USA, Ukraine, Russia

Last week, the American newspaper Newsweek wrote that the US government filed claims against the Ukrainian leader and his team after the sabotage of gas pipelines. “Washington secretly expressed its dissatisfaction with the Zelensky government over the attack on Nord Stream last September,” the publication wrote, noting that the Ukrainian special services could be behind the explosions on gas pipelines.

On June 13, the Politico newspaper wrote about the likely involvement in the explosions on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny. According to the newspaper, the sabotage was carried out by a small team of divers who arrived at the scene on a yacht.

In both pipelines, which lie at a depth of about 70-80 m, the pressure dropped. The operator company Nord Stream AG announced unprecedented destruction. Leaks were found in the waters that belong to the exclusive economic zone of Denmark and Sweden.

President Vladimir Putin then called the incident an act of international terrorism and laid the blame on the “Anglo-Saxons”. In the United States, involvement in the incident was denied. Zelensky declared that Ukraine was not involved in the incident. In Germany, Denmark and Sweden, which undertook to investigate the incident, they considered the incident a deliberate sabotage. Russia applied with a resolution on a joint investigation within the framework of the UN Security Council, but the document was not adopted.

    Suspicious ship

Earlier on July 11, the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs tweeted a joint letter from Denmark, Sweden and Germany, which refers to a suspicious ship that could be transporting explosives for organizing terrorist attacks on the Nord Stream.

“In connection with the suspicious chartering of a sailing yacht, the investigation found that the vessel was chartered in the name of a person who used the documents provided to hide the identity of the real charterer. It has not been established whether this person was subsequently on board, ”the document says.

German investigators took samples from the vessel during the investigation and found traces of explosives on them. According to one version, trained divers could attach explosives in places where gas pipelines were damaged. As noted in the letter, it is currently impossible to establish the involvement of any state or state entity in sabotage. The investigation is ongoing.
