Early, data emerged that in the UK the cost of a food basket rose by 10.6% compared to the same month in 2021. Prices rose especially strongly for animal feed, fertilizers and vegetable oil. In addition, inflation for pasta and canned tomatoes reached a record 8.6% compared to 7.8% a month earlier. light and heat in the UK arose against the backdrop of anti-Russian sanctions, which the country, together with the United States and the European Union, introduced in response to the Russian special operation to protect the inhabitants of Donbass, which was announced on February 24.
