In Kaluga on Tuesday, November 22, about 30 people with bruises and fractures were taken to the emergency room. Freezing rain covered the city and this significantly complicated the movement of residents around the city.
According to the BSMP of Kaluga, in the period from 6:00 to 12:00 Moscow time, about 30 people with street injuries of varying severity turned to the emergency room for help. In 11 patients of those who applied, fractures of the extremities were diagnosed.
In advance, the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations issued a meteorological warning about impending bad weather, utilities were put on high alert. With the advent of freezing rain, utilities were sent to eliminate the consequences. But the bad weather persists, the roads are quickly covered with ice again. Residents are urged to refrain from leaving their homes if possible.
