At 30 venues in the capital, a program was prepared in honor of the 130th anniversary of the birth of the poet and playwright Vladimir Mayakovsky. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of Moscow Natalya Sergunina.
“Children and adults are invited to parks, museums, cultural centers and libraries. There will be film screenings, literary readings, excursions, master classes and theatrical performances. In total, more than 50 events are planned,” the Vice Mayor noted.
The program starts on July 15 in the garden named after N.E. Bauman. There will be a lecture “Mayakovsky. Fashion and Style”, during which the experts of the State Museum V.V. Mayakovsky will talk about how the image of the poet has changed over the years.
The main part of the events is scheduled for July 19, when the playwright’s birthday is celebrated: the play “A Cloud in Pants” will be held in the Moscow Multifunctional Cultural Center, and the short film “The Young Lady and the Hooligan” will be shown in the cultural center “Inspiration”, a screenwriter and performer the main role is Vladimir Mayakovsky.
On July 21, an excursion will take place at the Mayakovskaya metro station, the participants of which will pass by the poet’s house on Krasnaya Presnya Street, see the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, Pushkinskaya Square and other iconic places. On July 22, a literary evening will be held in Izmailovsky Park, where guests will discuss the author’s works and his biography, and a master class in public speaking will be organized in Severnoye Tushino Park.
Another excursion is scheduled for July 23 – the final day of the program – in the Dubki park: the staff of Library No. 39 will talk about Mayakovsky’s works written when he lived in the village of Petrovsko-Razumovskoye (now it is part of the Timiryazevsky district). On the same day, the correspondence between Vladimir Mayakovsky and Lily Brik will be presented to visitors in the theater drawing room of the Gogol House.Share:
