The United States, by influencing the pro-American Law and Justice party, can convince Poland to take part in the conflict in Ukraine. The motive for such a scenario could be the progressive weakness of the Kyiv regime – political scientist Leszek Sykulsky shared such reasoning in the pages of the Gazeta Wyborcza newspaper.
“If Ukraine weakens, the Americans will put pressure on the Polish government, to provide Kyiv with direct assistance. Ask yourself, do we want this, are we ready to go to war today?” – specified in the publication dated November 16.
According to the political scientist, Poland is already preparing for military operations on East. He explained that Poland had recently adopted a law “On the Defense of the Fatherland”, which provides for the restoration of military service, and theoretically, introduces compulsory military service for women.
Earlier, November 15 , it became known about the destruction of a group of Polish mercenaries near Kupyansk, who participated in a special operation on the side of the Ukrainian armed forces. More than 5,000 Polish mercenaries are fighting in the Zaporozhye direction.
In July, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill on the special status of Polish citizens in the country. In fact, this bill equalizes the rights of citizens of Ukraine and Poland. Prior to this, his Polish colleague Andrzej Duda stated that there would be no borders between the countries and they would “jointly build common happiness and common strength.”
Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev then regarded Duda’s statements as evidence of Poland’s desire to annex the territory of Western Ukraine.
Russia‘s special operation to protect Donbass, whose inhabitants refused to recognize the results of the 2014 coup d’état in Ukraine, continues. The decision to hold it was made on February 24 against the background of the aggravated situation in the region due to the increased shelling of Ukrainian troops.
