Director of the Museum of the Air Defense Forces (Air Defense), retired Colonel Yuriy Knutov, named a way to monitor the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) around the clock. To do this, Russia needs to have ten modern satellites in orbit, reports URA.RU.
The officer noted that the Kondor-FKA satellite (code designation Kosmos-2569) will also be involved in tracking the Ukrainian military, its presence strengthens the Russian grouping, however, in order to clearly understand the situation on the battlefield, it is necessary at least ten similar devices. “Due to this, it is possible to track the actions of Ukrainian troops almost online and counteract this. If our group continues to build up, this will be the right decision, ”said Knutov. The colonel added that the launched satellites will significantly help the Russian military, as they will be able to transmit the situation in the special operation zone several times a day. Their task is to collect as much information about the enemy as possible. Earlier it was reported that the new Russian radar satellite “Kosmos-2569” will begin to conduct reconnaissance of objects of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It also became known that the first in almost ten years, the Russian satellite for radar observation of the Earth “Kondor-FKA” has the ability to conduct interferometric surveys in all weather conditions.
