May is rich not only in holidays, but also in interesting sequels and new releases. The Izvestia selection contains the most anticipated and curious gaming news of the month.
Darkest Dungeon II
When: out now Platforms: PC Genre: roguelike
The gloomy “bagel” Darkest Dungeon (“Darkest Dungeon”) with stylish comic graphics in the spirit of Mike Mignola’s works has got a sequel. And it’s finally out of early access on Steam.
The new DD will appeal to fans of the original, it retains both the atmosphere and the main gameplay mechanics. There were also some innovations: now the heroes explore the world on a stagecoach, and the familiar shelter in which the characters could be regrouped and patched up is no more. The development of the characters has become even better. Each mercenary has a set of skills with positive and negative effects, character traits, skill development branches. During the battles, the heroes build relationships with each other, and this directly affects the style of play and the passage.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Outlast Trials

When: May 18 Platforms: PC Genre: cooperative horror
The Outlast mini-series is considered solid among the host of horror games on Steam. The first game was about a creepy secluded mental hospital, in the second the hero investigated the murder of a pregnant woman among the scenery in the spirit of the movie “Children of the Corn”. The creator studio Red Barrels was haunted by the fame of the horror co-op Dead by Deadlight, so they decided to make their own project based on their own developments.
The plot of the online thriller echoes the first The Outlast – inhuman experiments are being carried out on the patients-captives of the psychiatric hospital. Unlike Dead by Deadlight, you can’t play as evil maniacs and aggressive psychos, but you can customize your prison cell. The Outlast Trials is out in Early Access.

Today it is difficult to surprise anyone with a global strategy in a fantasy setting, there have been many good projects in recent years. The third part of Age of Wonders could still boast of absolute innovation, but the new episode has to fight to stand out from the competition. Warhammer 40,000 is a hugely popular tactical board game that tells the story of thousands of years of space warfare between the Imperium of humans and other races. As part of the franchise, books and video games of various genres are released. The appearance of Boltgun was very logical – the vintage style of the so-called boomer shooter is the best fit for a world in which the war never stops. The plot of Boltgun is extremely simple: a space marine cleans the planet from the hordes of Chaos. Fans of the Doom series are strongly recommended to play.
