    Izvestia spoke about the impact of nuclear medicine in the fight against serious diseases

    Radionuclide therapy and diagnostics are actively developing in Russia. Doctors use artificial intelligence and unique practices in their work, achieving new successes in the fight against cancer. Izvestia found out how nuclear medicine helps to treat serious illnesses and prolong the lives of the most difficult patients.

    A scientific conference “Modern Nuclear Medicine” was held at the Institute of Nuclear Medicine in Khimki. Oncologists, urologists, radiologists and chemotherapists discussed important aspects of the diagnosis and treatment of oncology in Russia. high-quality and innovative methods of treatment are used in the country, radionuclide and radiation diagnostics are rapidly developing, and artificial intelligence is used.

    “Technologies in the diagnosis and treatment of oncological diseases have reached a new level. Specialists have begun using a two-phase cancer detection system, which helps to detect the disease at an early stage not only in adults, but also in children,” she noted.

    Radiology doctors Tamara Geliashvili and Valery Krylov spoke about the use of radionuclide therapy in diseases of the thyroid gland and in the treatment of patients with bone metastases in prostate cancer.
