    Published on

There can be no question of any Russian interference in the elections in Turkey, such rumors are spread by liars. This statement was made by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, he is quoted by TASS.

The statement came after Turkey’s single opposition presidential candidate, Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu published a post in Russian calling on Russia to refrain from interfering in the presidential election.Refuting this statement, the official representative of the Kremlin assured that Moscow does not interfere in the internal affairs and electoral processes of other countries. “We officially declare that there can be no talk of any intervention. If someone provided Mr. Kylychdaroglu with such information, then they are liars, and it is necessary to say so, ”Peskov emphasized. It is known that the presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey will be held on May 14. The second round of presidential elections, if no candidate receives 50 percent of the vote, will be held on May 28.
