    Leaders of Russia and Republika Srpska to discuss gas prices at a meeting in Moscow

    President of the Republika Srpska (a region within Bosnia and Herzegovina) Milorad Dodik will discuss with Russian President Vladimir Putin gas prices and a project to supply fuel from Russia. Details of the upcoming meeting of the heads of state in Moscow on Monday, May 22, were told by the head of the state representation in the Russian Federation, Dusko Perovich.

    “I can say that the best price, as for friendly countries, will probably be approved,” Perovich told RIA Novosti.

    He also added that at a meeting with Vladimir Putin, the President of the Republika Srpska will touch upon joint economic plans, including the construction of a gas pipeline. According to him, two members of the presidium have already refused to support this decision.

    Milorad Dodik, during negotiations with Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, acknowledged the absence of alternatives to Russian gas.

    In addition, the representative of BiH agreed with the head of Gazprom, Alexei Miller, to keep gas prices for the Republika Srpska. The parties also discussed the construction of the Balkan Stream gas pipeline.

    Previously, the Republika Srpska received Russian gas through Ukraine, Hungary and Serbia, the Bosnian gas transmission system is connected to the Serbian one near the city of Zvornik.Share:
