    Malaysia's new cabinet sworn in

    Kuala Lumpur, December 3rd Members of the new Malaysian cabinet were sworn in at the National Palace in Kuala Lumpur on the 3rd. The Supreme Head of State Abdullah and Prime Minister Anwar who had already taken office attended the ceremony.

    According to the Malaysian National News Agency, Anwar announced the cabinet list on the evening of the 2nd. Focus on promoting economic development and focus on implementing initiatives that will reduce the burden on the people.

    Anwar’s Pakatan Harapan coalition won 82 seats in the election for the lower house of parliament on November 19, the most, but still short of a simple majority. Malaysia’s Supreme Head of State Abdullah appointed Anwar as the new prime minister on November 24.
