    Moscow and Minsk signed an agreement on the transit of Belarusian cargo through Russia

    Belarus and Russia signed an intergovernmental agreement on the transit of Belarusian goods through the territory of the Russian Federation. This was reported on September 29 in the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of the Republic.

    “Today an intergovernmental agreement on transit was signed in Moscow Belarusian cargo through the territory of the Russian Federation. The document was signed by the heads of the ministries of transport of Belarus and Russia, Aleksey Avramenko and Vitaly Savelyev,” the report says. In particular, it is reported that the transportation of goods to third countries will be carried out both through seaports and through land transport infrastructure.

    It is added that the implementation of the signed agreement will ensure guaranteed access economic entities of Belarus to the transport services of Russian suppliers for the organization of reliable and stable export deliveries.

    On September 26, the Presidents of Russia and Belarus Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko held a meeting. It was clarified that the topics of discussion were the supply of Belarusian fertilizers to world markets, as well as the situation in the region and economic issues.

    Earlier, at the end of July, the Russian and Belarusian leaders held telephone conversations . The main topic of the conversation was bilateral cooperation between the countries. The heads of state discussed a set of key economic issues, including specific import substitution projects, as well as the international agenda.
