Nearly 5,000 foreign mercenaries who fought on the side of Ukraine were destroyed during the NMD. This figure was announced during the briefing by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov.

“In total, about 4,990 foreign fighters were killed during the special military operation.
