The Minister of National Defense, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Poland, Mariusz Blaszczak, on his Twitter page said that the republic received two more HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) from the United States.
“Poland received two more M142 HIMARS launchers, as well as elements of the Patriot system,” he said. The Minister added that such supplies help Warsaw to strengthen rocket artillery and air defense forces. In March, it was reported that the Polish Armed Forces would deploy HIMARS MLRS systems ordered from the United States in a division located near the border with the Kaliningrad region of Russia. It was noted that this is a division ordered in 2019. Later it became known that the first HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems arrived in Poland from the United States. Blaszczak noted that Poland intends to continue purchasing MLRS and bring their number to 500 units.
