Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed Colonel General Nikolai Grechushkin from his post as Deputy Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The corresponding decree is published on the official portal of legal information.
On March 29, the head of state dismissed another deputy minister, Alexander Chupriyan. The presidential decree does not name the reason why Grechushkin left his post. The document entered into force on the day of signing, April 5. Nikolai Grechushkin from 2008 to 2014 served as deputy director, director of the logistics and armament department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. In 2018, he was appointed Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. He was awarded the medal “For Services to the Fatherland” 1st class and the medal of the Order “For Services to the Fatherland” 2nd class.
