On December 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin promised to discuss the issue of indexing pensions for disabled working people.

During a meeting with disabled people and representatives public organizations that unite people with disabilities, State Duma deputy Oleg Smolin addressed the head of state. He asked for an indexation of pensions for working disabled people.

“Let’s look at all these issues <...> In general, I absolutely agree with you. It is necessary to work it out at the government level, ”Putin said.

He noted that it is necessary to reduce the number of non-working disabled people. According to the president, 25% of working people with disabilities is a low figure.

In late September, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that social pensions for disabled adults and children are protected from write-offs for debts by banks.

From July 1, new rules for registering disability came into force. Now you can go through a commission to confirm disability in person or in absentia. So, after the Russian receives a commission referral, he fills out the consent to conduct a medical and social examination. It is at the application stage that he must choose the appropriate form.
