In Russia, all conditions must be created for the participation of veterans of the special military operation (SVO) in public activities. This was stated by President Vladimir Putin in his address to the participants of the special operation veterans forum, TASS writes.
The greeting of the head of state was read out by the head of the Russian President’s Department for Public Projects Sergei Novikov. In it, Putin emphasized the importance of the fact that “the soldiers and commanders who courageously defend Russia today and withstood front-line tests with honor” take part in various charitable and volunteer projects. “The task of the state and society is to create all conditions for this,” the President noted. Earlier, Putin granted the status of combat veteran to all those who participated in the battles on the territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics since May 12, 2014. In addition, all volunteers who signed a contract with organizations providing assistance to the Russian army as part of a special operation became veterans.
