Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the We Are Together with Russia movement, said that Kyiv was preparing a provocation at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) to blame Russia for it and stop the work of the mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). His statement leads TASS.
Commenting on the statement of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine about Russia‘s alleged preparation of a provocation at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, Rogov said that Kiev “announces this strike” in order to blame Moscow in advance, “including that IAEA inspectors should no longer be present at the plant.” Earlier, the head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, began the development of a new agreement to ensure the safety of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant on the eve of the announced counter-offensive of the Ukrainian army. Zaporozhye NPP, the largest in Europe, has been under the protection of the Russian military since March 2022. The Ukrainian military continues to shell Energodar and the territory of the nuclear power plant adjacent to the city, and the IAEA insists on creating a security zone around the plant.
