Together with Maya Usova, figure skater Alexander Zhulin became the world and European champion, and also won the bronze of the Albertville Olympics in 1992 and the silver of the Lillehammer Olympics in 1994.
After completing his career, Zhulin began coaching and achieved great success with the duet Tatyana Navka / Roman Kostomarov. He helped them win the gold of the Olympic Games in Turin – 2006, and also become world champions twice and European champions three times. Later, Zhulin managed to repeat the success of Navka and Kostomarov with other students – Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov, winning Beijing-2022 gold in the team championship and silver in the individual championship with them, as well as winning the World Championship and twice – at the European Championships.
