    Shot at police officers in Novoshakhtinsk detained

    A man who shot at policemen in Novoshakhtinsk has been detained. This was announced on December 7 by the governor of the Rostov region Vasily Golubev in his Telegram channel. Investigative actions are ongoing.

    On December 6, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Rostov Region, after injuring a policeman in Novoshakhtinsk, opened a criminal case under articles on encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer and illegal arms trafficking.

    On the same day it became known that an unidentified man in camouflage had opened fire on police officers at the exit from Novoshakhtinsk. The UK said that one of the employees was injured, he was hospitalized. The shooter fled the scene.

    Golubev noted that the condition of the wounded policeman was assessed as moderate.
