Beijing, December 2 Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Zhao Lijian said at a regular press conference on the 2nd that over the past 70 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the breadth and depth of friendly cooperation between China and Arab countries has achieved a historic record. Overcoming the leap, China will continue to work with Arab countries to build a China-Arab community with a shared future for the new era.

Zhao Lijian made the above remarks when answering questions about the “Report on China-Arab Cooperation in the New Era” published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 1st.

He pointed out that the relationship between China and Arab countries has a long history and has set a model of friendly exchanges between different nations in the long history of exchanges. Over the past 70 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, China and the Arab countries have respected each other, treated each other as equals, achieved mutual benefit and mutual learning, and achieved historic leaps in the breadth and depth of friendly cooperation.

“In order to summarize the achievements and experience of Sino-Arab cooperation and look forward to the future development of Sino-Arab relations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs published the “Report on Sino-Arab Cooperation in the New Era”, reviewing the history of Sino-Arab friendly exchanges and sorting out the establishment of new China. Afterwards, especially in the new century and new stage, the practice of China-Arab friendly exchanges looks forward to the prospect and direction of building a China-Arab community with a shared future.” Zhao Lijian said.

Zhao Lijian said that the world is currently undergoing major changes unseen in a century, and China and Arab countries are facing similar opportunities and challenges. China has always regarded the Arab countries as strategic partners that firmly follow the path of peaceful development, strengthen cooperation with developing countries, and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

“China will continue to work with Arab countries to carry forward traditional friendship, deepen cooperation in various fields, strengthen exchanges between civilizations, and work together to build a China-Arab community with a shared future for the new era, benefiting the Chinese and Arab peoples, and driving the development of China. Countries unite and cooperate to jointly promote world peace and development,” he said.
