    Published on

Aeroflot’s subsidiary, maintenance and repair provider A-Technics, has successfully passed the audit of the Federal Air Transport Agency to expand the aircraft components designer certificate (FAP-21 section J), which was received in June this year.

The company received permission to develop and approve documentation for performing non-standard structural repairs of any aircraft of domestic and foreign production.

In addition, the list of aircraft systems on which the provider can carry out development and certification of minor changes (modifications) of the type design for class II and III components, development of repair documentation.

These include air conditioning system components, lighting equipment, windows, doors, hatches, brake devices, thrust reverser, fuselage skin, aircraft aerodynamic surfaces and others.

Thus, today A-Technics can independently perform a full cycle of work: from development to completion of repair or modification of the aircraft. Under the sanctions restrictions, the updated certificate will allow the provider to provide comprehensive technical support to partner airlines if it is necessary to develop, approve and perform repairs that are not described by the current operational documentation of the aircraft manufacturer.

Previously, A-Technics had the right to develop documentation for the production and modification of Level III components (elements of pantry and kitchen equipment, passenger compartment, cockpit, emergency equipment, and so on).

A-Technics will continue to work on consistent expansion of its competencies to provide high-quality maintenance and maintain the airworthiness of the aircraft fleet of Aeroflot Group and other Russian air carriers.
