Süddeutsche Zeitung: several Ukrainians may be involved in Nord Stream explosions

    Published on

The Süddeutsche Zeitung and other German and European media have jointly investigated the explosions on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines. Journalists managed to find out that the Andromeda ship, which (presumably) was involved in undermining gas pipelines, was rented by the Polish travel company Feeria Lwowa.

According to the Polish Trade Register, the organization is registered in Warsaw on Yulyana Smulikowski Street. “Under the address is nothing more than a tiny room on the second floor – three computers, two desks, some documents. German investigators have also been interested in the address for a long time, ”the article notes.

“There’s a lot to be said for Feeria Lwowa being just a fictitious company. No employees, no own offices, no website to contact in person: sounds suspicious. Feeria Lwowa was founded in 2016 and registered by two citizens of Ukraine”,

    – the publication says.

According to the register, the company was liquidated on May 15, 2023.

It is noted that the journalists, having come to the address, found one young woman there, who confirmed that Feeria Lwowa was indeed in the office. However, she was unable to give the phone numbers of the owners of the company and said that she communicates with them only by e-mail.

According to the register, the company is now owned by a 32-year-old Ukrainian citizen from Kerch. “The Polish company’s documents show its Ukrainian passport, but it has since apparently changed its name and now also has Russian citizenship. “In a telephone conversation, she stated that she knew nothing about Feeria Lwowa,” the article notes.

According to the b2bhint.com counterparty verification service, there are three names in the management of Feeria Lwowa: Diana Borseitova, Natalya Ashikhmina and Oleg Lyubchuk. Presumably, Diana Borseitova lives in Kerch and changed her last name to Kukulenko.

The article also states that since September 2021, another Ukrainian woman has become the president and shareholder of the company — she is 55 years old. She, according to the registry, is the service contact person for the Feeria Lwowa office. “She confirmed over the phone that she was the president of the company. She did not respond to additional questions by e-mail,” the article says.

Journalists found out that a woman heads several companies in Poland and Ukraine. One of these organizations is registered in Krakow – but they have not heard about it there. It is noted that German law enforcement officers believe that this woman “became the face of several one-day firms so that the real owners remained in the shadows.”

Feeria Lwowa and all organizations associated with this citizen of Ukraine are registered to the addresses of “one-night stands”. “Such companies have always been a popular tool for the intelligence services, for example, to disguise and finance covert operations,” the article notes.

    The second trail to Ukraine

In addition, writes Süddeutsche Zeitung, German investigators are developing a version with one of the members of the Andromeda team. According to investigators, the owner of the yacht issued fake Romanian and Bulgarian passports to at least part of the group, one of which was in the name of Stefan Marku. It turned out that in Romania there really is a man with this name, the address and date of birth indicated in the documents correspond to those declared. However, the real Stefan Marcu was in Romania at the time of the explosions on the gas pipelines:

“According to the investigation, the person who introduced himself to Andromeda’s landlords as Stefan Marku could be a 26-year-old Ukrainian. The young man is also under the gun of the German security authorities, although his identity has not yet been fully established. His name is known to the reporting team, but for security reasons he remains unnamed. He comes from a city southeast of Kyiv and appears to be a member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”

The Süddeutsche Zeitung also identified another person involved in the explosions: this is a man from Odessa who is “known in investigative circles”, but did not take an active part in the sabotage and played rather a secondary role.

What is known about the explosions at the “SP”

The attack on the “Nord Streams” occurred on September 26, 2022. As a result of explosions near the Danish island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea, three of the four lines of two pipelines were damaged. The law enforcement agencies of Denmark, Sweden and Germany are investigating the incident. At the same time, Copenhagen officially denied Moscow access to the investigation. According to the results of the investigation, the explosions were recognized as sabotage. The perpetrators and customers of the explosions have not yet been named.

In February, the American journalist Seymour Hersh, citing sources, said that the US intelligence agencies were behind the gas pipeline explosion, the order came personally from President Joe Biden. Hersh said the bombs were planted in the summer of 2022 under the cover of NATO exercise Baltops.

In March of this year, a version of the Nord Stream explosions spread in the Western media, in which the blame was placed on a certain “pro-Ukrainian group” that had nothing to do with either the US intelligence services or official Kiev. In Russia, this theory was called ridiculous.
