At least 6 provinces in the Philippines have issued a level 5 (ie the highest level) typhoon warning; Manila issued a level 4 typhoon warning and announced that government departments and schools will be suspended on the 26th.

    Affected by “Olu”, nearly 50 international and domestic flights in the Philippines were cancelled, and more than 2,500 people were stranded in ports. Some areas may encounter strong winds and floods and heavy rainfall caused by heavy rainfall. Landslides, some areas will even see storm surges of more than 3 meters. The Bureau of Atmospheric Geophysics and Astronomy has urged residents in lower-lying areas along the coasts of Quezon and Aurora provinces to evacuate as soon as possible.

    The Philippines is located in the western Pacific typhoon belt and is hit by an average of 20 typhoons or tropical storms each year.
