    The 21st batch of Chinese peacekeeping officers and soldiers to Lebanon passed the United Nations mine clearance and EOD qualification certification

    Beirut, August 30 (Zhang Zhe Li Zhulin) On August 30, 62 officers and soldiers of the 21st batch of Chinese peacekeeping multi-functional engineer detachment to Lebanon passed the assessment of the United Nations Mine Action Service at one time, and obtained the mine clearance, Two kinds of qualification certification for EOD.

    Mine clearance and EOD qualification certification is the “pass” for mine clearance officers and soldiers to work in minefields. The assessment content mainly includes mine clearance and EOD There are more than 30 items in 13 subjects including mine detector debugging, signal source positioning, mine excavation, minefield rescue, and unexploded ordnance disposal in the two majors.

    During the 3-day assessment, the assessment team dispatched by the United Nations Mine Action Service conducted a comprehensive assessment of the Chinese officers and soldiers. All 56 mine-clearing officers and soldiers and 6 medical staff passed the assessment with their professional quality, superb technology and standardized procedures.

    Bilal, an examiner of the United Nations Mine Action Service, said after the assessment: “The Chinese mine clearance officers and soldiers have superb skills and excellent performance. Your arrival.”

    The 21st batch of Chinese peacekeeping troops to Lebanon was deployed on August 10. After obtaining the qualifications for demining and EOD, Chinese demining officers and soldiers will go to the minefields near the “Blue Line” on the border between Lebanon and Israel to carry out humanitarian demining missions.
