In the Irkutsk region, a criminal case has been initiated on the fact of the death of a driller at work in the Kirensky district. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of the ICR for the region.

The tragedy occurred on October 12, 2022 at the working site of the drilling rig. The investigation believes that as a result of the spontaneous movement of the equipment, the 46-year-old driller received injuries incompatible with life. 143 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Violation of the rules of labor protection, negligently resulting in the death of a person”), writes news agency IrkutskMedia.

Investigators have already reviewed employee safety compliance documentation and other documents that may assist in the investigation. Witnesses to the incident were also questioned. The investigation continues.

On November 10, in Zlatoust, Chelyabinsk region, a MAN truck drove into a pit where two workers born in 1994 and 1996 were welding pipes. Young people died. A criminal case has been opened.
