Singer Elizaveta Gardymova, known as Monetochka (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation), was given an administrative fine of 30,000 rubles for non-compliance with the law on foreign agents. This was reported to Izvestiya by the press service of the Basmanny Court of Moscow on Friday, June 16.

They specified that Gardymova was found guilty by the court of committing an offense under Part 4 of Art. 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (CAO) of the Russian Federation (“Violation of the procedure for the activities of a foreign agent”).Break copies: Roskomnadzor has blocked almost 3.5 thousand “mirror” sites of foreign agents How often do they try to circumvent the law and how long does it take for the service to close access to such resources

According to the law, foreign agents are required to mark their materials with a special alert.

The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation included Monetochka in the register of foreign agents on January 20. It was noted that she raised money to support Ukraine, and also received support from foreign sources and spoke out against the special military operation (SVO). Gardymova currently lives outside the Russian Federation.

In July 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law regulating the activities of foreign agents. A unified register of foreign agents was introduced, and the procedure for including and excluding persons from this list was also established.

As follows from the document, any legal entity, including a foreign one, an association of persons or an individual, can be recognized as a foreign agent if they receive foreign support or “are under foreign influence” and conduct political activities, collect information in the field of military-technical activities of Russia that can be used against the security of the country, as well as disseminating information or financing such activities.

The law regulating the activities of citizens recognized as foreign agents entered into force on December 1, 2022.
