Minister of Culture of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko was accused of working for the Russian market. This was stated by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Irina Gerashchenko on Facebook (a social network banned in Russia; owned by the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
According to her, Tkachenko participated in the “cut” of hundreds of millions of hryvnias for the Russian-language channels DOM and Freedom, as well as for the financing of pro-Russian production. Gerashchenko notes that the winners of one of the state competitions were companies that have always worked for the Russian market. The authorities allocated 43 million hryvnias to create the product, the deputy notes. In early June, a petition demanding the dismissal of Tkachenko received the necessary 25,000 votes from Ukrainians. Then he was accused of non-compliance with the words, “defiling the memory of all the deceased Heroes of Ukraine” and showing extreme disdain for the fighters who give their lives.
