In the Stavropol Territory, the number of cases of tularemia has increased – up to 18 registered cases. This was reported in the regional Ministry of Health.
Earlier, 8 people were hospitalized in the Petrovsky District. All of them were admitted to medical institutions with a diagnosis of tularemia. There are currently 18 cases in the county. The first 8 people have already been discharged from the hospital after a course of treatment.
Also, the regional Ministry of Health reported that 7.4 thousand people were voluntarily vaccinated against tularemia in the Petrovsky District. In total, the Stavropol Territory has 54.1 thousand doses of vaccine against this disease.
The village of Dry Buffalo was named as the source of the disease. They carry out disinfection of water supply networks and water sources. Drinking water is brought in by tankers. Due to the outbreak of the disease in the village, the work of the kindergarten was suspended.
