    Cairo, September 25 The launching ceremony of the pilot project of Chinese education in Egyptian secondary schools and the opening ceremony of the Chinese teacher training class were held at the Confucius Institute at Cairo University in Egypt on the 25th, marking the first batch of 12 schools in Egypt. The pilot program of Chinese education in public middle schools was officially launched.

    Zhang Tao, Charge d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, said in a video speech that the educational exchanges and cooperation between China and Egypt have yielded fruitful results, with achievements in inter-school cooperation, vocational education, joint talent training and scientific research cooperation. made great progress. He said that in September 2020, China and Egypt signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Incorporating Chinese into Egyptian Primary and Secondary Schools as an Elective Second Foreign Language, officially incorporating Chinese into Egyptian primary and secondary elective courses. The pilot program of Chinese education in 12 middle schools will open a new starting point for Chinese education in Egyptian middle schools.

    Mohammad Mujahid, Deputy Minister of Education and Technical Education of Egypt, said that in recent years, the cooperation between Egypt and China in education has been deepening. Started a year earlier than the original plan, it is hoped that the project will help more and more Egyptians to learn more about China.

    According to reports, the training class lasted 10 days and will provide courses such as theoretical training on teaching methods, practical training, electronic teaching materials and application training. 12 teachers will be officially on duty after the training.
