In Surgut, a court sentenced a 38-year-old man to 12 years in prison for killing a businessman eight years ago. This was reported to Lente.ru by the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR) for the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra.

The man was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Murder”). He will serve his sentence in a strict regime colony. According to the agency, on April 11, 2015, the body of a man with gunshot wounds was found in the courtyard of a house on Mayakovsky Street. It turned out that the victim was a businessman engaged in passenger transportation activities. Then it was not possible to find the culprit of the crime. However, in November 2022, law enforcement officers identified the suspect and detained him. It turned out that the killer was a friend of the victim. They did business together and because of disagreements they quarreled. Then the convict shot his partner five times with a pistol.
