On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that the situation in the world “does not invite good news” and is heading for a very big conflict.

“I assume that we are approaching a great military conflict from the stage of a special military operation, and now the question is where the borders are and whether we will enter in a while, and maybe in a month or two , into a great world conflict, which we have not had since the Second World War, ”he emphasized.

In response to Vucic’s words, Sergey Lavrov said that he would not engage in gloomy forecasts.

    “This will aggravate the conflict”

Neighboring Bulgaria also refused to recognize the results of the referenda, the Sofia newspaper Fakty reported, citing to the statement of Deputy Foreign Minister Kostadin Kodzhabashev.

“The latest news from Moscow is not particularly pleasant, it speaks of the all our previous relations, and in combination with nuclear rhetoric and the so-called referendums, these rather disturbing events reinforce the need for categorical and consistent support for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine,” said the Bulgarian diplomat.

“This will certainly aggravate the conflict even more,” Kodzhabashev is sure.

    Belarus undecided

The Belarusian authorities have not yet made a decision regarding the recognition of the results of the referenda, said Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei.

In an interview with France 24 TV channel, Makei explained that Minsk would decide to recognize the results of the referendums based on its own interests. According to him, the republic “recognizes Russia“, but “no one can accurately predict what will happen tomorrow.”

The minister called “marginal politicians and marginal media” those who call Belarus a puppet of Russia. In his opinion, Minsk pursues an independent policy.

Belarus did not officially recognize Crimea as Russian after the 2014 referendum. At the same time, President Alexander Lukashenko said that he would recognize Crimea by decree of the head of state, “if necessary.”
