Russian pilots use several types of new high-precision missiles in the special military operation (SVO) zone. This became known to the Izvestia newspaper from a source in the military department.
It is noted that the products are designed to destroy ground and air targets. They have already been tested and are actively used in battles. Also in the NMD zone, the Russian military uses Kh-31PD supersonic air-to-ground missiles, Kh-29 large-caliber missiles, Kh-59M heavy tactical guided missiles and Kh-38 short-range air-to-ground guided missiles. Thus, the Kh-31PD is a modern modification of the Kh-31P anti-radar missile. It is equipped with a ramjet engine with a solid-fuel booster. Its flight speed reaches 3.3 times the speed of sound, and its range is up to 250 kilometers. The mass of the warhead is 110 kilograms. The X-29 missile has a deviation from the target of up to two and a half meters, and at maximum speed it can penetrate up to one meter of reinforced concrete, closed by three meters of earthen embankment. The Kh-59M has a range of up to 120 kilometers and is equipped with a combined guidance system. Technically, it can also carry a nuclear warhead. It is noted that these missiles are effective for destroying warehouses, headquarters, bunkers and any structures. The X-38 missile is equipped with laser, satellite, thermal imaging and active radar homing systems. It has a launch range of up to 40 kilometers and allows the carrier not to enter the direct air defense zone of the object.
