The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia has developed an initiative according to which students participating in the SVO will be able to switch from paid to free education at universities. This was announced on Monday, July 3, on the agency’s website.
“The initiative establishes the rules for the redistribution of vacant state-funded places at universities that are funded from the federal budget, the budgets of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and local budgets,” the report says.
The basis for the transition to free education will be the student’s application and a document confirming the status of a member of the SVO. The decision on the redistribution of vacancies will be made by a special commission at the university.
