    Three-time Grammy winner Loretta Lynn dies

    At the age of 90, three-time Grammy-winning American country singer Loretta Lynn has died. This was reported by the newspaper The Guardian on Tuesday, October 4.

    The singer died at her home in Tennessee . No cause of death was given.

    During her 60-year career, Lynn recorded over 40 music albums and is considered one of the most popular country singers in the 1960s-1980s. In addition, 16 of her songs took the first place in the American country charts, and five albums received gold status. She is also the winner of the US Academy of Country Music Award.

    The singer began her musical career in 1959. In 1960, her debut single, I’m a Honky Tonk Girl, was released, followed by the hits Coal Miner’s Daughter, You Ain’t Woman Enough and others.

    In 1976, Lynn’s autobiographical book “The Miner’s Daughter” was published, subsequently directed by Michael Apted made a film adaptation.
