Almost a billion Muslims around the world celebrate this Wednesday the main Islamic holiday – the Day of Sacrifice, also known as Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Adha.
About 300,000 Muslims are expected to attend the festive prayer on June 28 in Moscow, and about 200,000 more in the Moscow region. Volunteers are involved in the organization of the festive prayer, who help believers in different languages to navigate the streets and exits from the subway.
Traffic on some streets of Moscow is closed, some land transport routes have been changed, and there are restrictions on the operation of metro stations located near mosques. About how Eid al-Adha passes in the Moscow region – in the photo report of Gazeta.
