In Syria, the impact of the guidance systems of the F-16 fighter jets of the US-led international coalition on the aircraft of the Aerospace Forces (VKS) of the Russian Federation was recorded. “In the area of ​​Al-Tanf, through which international air routes pass, 10 violations of Syrian airspace were once again recorded by four pairs of F-16 fighters and one pair of Rafal fighters of the “coalition”. At the same time, the impact of the guidance systems of F-16 fighter jets on the aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which was making a planned flight along the southern border of the Syrian Arab Republic, was recorded, ”he said.

Also, 12 violations of deconfliction protocols related to drone flights that were not coordinated with the Russian side were recorded during the day. Earlier, on July 18, Gurinov said that drones of the US-led international coalition over the past day made 14 flights over Syria that were not coordinated with the Russian side. On the same day, the Chairman of the Committee of the Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces, General Mark Milley, at a press conference at the Pentagon, said that it is not necessary to exaggerate the importance of the occasional friction between the Russian Armed Forces and the United States in Syria. In addition, Milley noted that there is a line of communication for avoiding conflicts, which the Central Command of the US Armed Forces uses every day to prevent any incidents.
