Türkiye has swung at fifty billion // Recep Tayyip Erdogan is looking for partners in the Persian Gulf

    Published on

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan begins a tour of the Gulf countries – the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Naming among the priorities the restoration of the economy, which suffered due to the outflow of investments, President Erdogan makes one of the bets on the Gulf monarchies. Ankara expects to agree on investments in the Turkish economy worth over $50 billion. Turkey’s turn to the Middle East is also associated with a rethinking of the security strategy, which involves active rapprochement with the Arab world to solve regional problems and reduce Iran’s influence.
