The State Border Service of Ukraine began to destroy roads and mine approaches on the border with Belarus in order to strengthen the defense capability. Head of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko told about this, TASS writes.

According to him, the length of the border with Belarus, although it is more than a thousand kilometers, is now strengthened to the maximum. Work to strengthen the defense is ongoing. To strengthen the border, the State Border Service destroys existing roads, creates engineering fortifications and various blockages. Demchenko also said that fences are being built at the border. All these actions are carried out against the backdrop of statements about the absence of the threat of an attack on Ukraine from Belarus. This was recently stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
