Kyiv cynically ignores the presence of representatives of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on the territory of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP). This was stated on December 8 at a briefing in Moscow by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

According to her, the main threat to the security of ZNPP is the incessant shelling, she led the attacks that were recorded on November 19 and 20.

At the same time, Karmazinskaya said that Moscow agreed with the proposal to organize a security zone near the station and was ready to discuss the details. This initiative was proposed by IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi following his visit to the station.

The main goal of this security zone is to prevent threats to the ZNPP arising from the ongoing attacks by Ukrainian nationalists.

On December 3, the head of the IAEA announced that the withdrawal of weapons from the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant would become part of the general agreement between Moscow and Kyiv to protect it. According to him, both sides agreed not to shell the station and not to fire from its territory. and more acceptable.
